About health08.org

Health08.org was part of a broad effort by the Kaiser Family Foundation to provide a central hub for resources and information about health policy issues in the 2008 election. The site -- operated by Kaiser staff -- provided analysis of policy issues, regular public opinion surveys, daily news updates, video of speeches and debates from the campaign trail, original interviews and resources for journalists covering the election. View the press release here.

Health08.org followed the Commission on Presidential Debates' guideline for candidate inclusion. The guideline requires that candidates have the support of at least 15% of the electorate as demonstrated in five national public opinion polls. For more information on the CPD, please visit their site.

Additional analysis of health policy issues and information about the Foundation's operating programs can be found at kff.org.
